I’ve found that some effects, such as the NTSC one from frei0r, applies the effect to the entire canvas rather than to the rotoscoped area I designated. Take this example image from the smiling friends cartoon:
And here is the stack order of my effect:
I know I’m doing things in the proper order, I’ve seen it work with other effects:
I just don’t know if this is a bug on frei0r’s end, our end, or if this is a feature or not. Felt I should ask before filing anything.
I tested the NTSC effect and can confirm.
What other effects are not being rotoscoped/masked?
Hi,
So far out of the extra half a dozen I tested out of the 200+ available filters, they worked fine. For some reason, just this effect does it. But there is a possibility other ones ignore the roto as well.
Thanks for testing other effects. It’s the first time this came up. NTSC was introduced recently, so I am very certain that it is only this one that ignores the mask.
Would you mind changing the title of your post to make it specific to the NTSC effect? That avoids misunderstanding and wild goose chases. Thanks!
Done, thanks for the suggestion.
I decided to use GNU Script to make a transcript of the logs from using the flatpak version. Anything out of the ordinary here?
