Keyframe images not contained in a red frame

Kdenlive Version 25.12.3 Windows 11 Huawei Matebook Pro 2020 (intel Core i7)

I’m completely new to Kdenlive and have been picking up what I can using YouTube Tutorials.

Victoriano de Jesus has an excellent tutorial on key-frames at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DdfHgIuS-4 but I am stumped because the png image he imported is contained within a red frame that enables him to resize the image and move it around in the Project Monitor.

The image I have imported is a red arrow against a transparent background (png file) but has no frame around it so I am unable to manipulate it in any way. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to address this problem?

Enable Edit Mode. See this page in the online documentation.

Thanks for your response berndmj.

In fact I was in edit mode throughout my efforts, but just after I posted my problem i discovered an icon under the Project Monitor labelled Show/Hide Edit Mode. For some reason it was in Hide mode and as soon as I turned it on - Voila!

There’s always something in these monster complex programs to trip you up!
