Not so long ago we had the “tiled menu” launcher, but this one is discontinued and won’t work with current plasma 6.2

Any chance following functionality can be added to the default launcher?

  1. Abillity to disable the “labels/names” of the program groups (only show the icons).

As a result the width of this windowsection can be reduced.
When you start the launcher you can go much more easily to the tumbnails on the right windowsection without displaying another group in the right window of the launcher (I always go straight to favourites.

  1. Disable program groups and show all installed programs in 1 list alfabetically ascending or descending

  2. The options favourites & All programs below the different programgroups (on the bottom)

this is why i rather prefer the application menu, it takes up little room on the screen, it has favorites in a handy location and you still have access to full menu if you need it.

you could try contacting the developer of the 3rd party launcher to see if they plan to migrate it to plasma 6 or not.

there is also the quick launch if you just want icons, but you have to add each application yourself

a 4th option somewhere between the application menu and the full screen dashboard would probably be a nice addition.
