Hello, I’m new to KDE community, and I’m sorry if I bother everyone.
I have a problem lately with Klipper and KDE Connect.
Before I did any pairing with my android phone, klipper respect the delete button. So when I clear it and reboot it should not have anything in klipper history.
But once I paired it with my phone, the behavior changes, even if I clear both devices’ history, klipper somehow left with one clipboard entry upon reboot. I delete it again and reboot, yet it persists.
Klipper will only be truly empty if:
- KDE Connect is unpaired
- Clipboard sync is disabled
- One of the devices connect to different network which means they cannot pair.
I’ve tried:
- Disabling “Save History Across Sessions”
- Removing the contents of ~/.local/share/klipper/ (of course when plasmashell and klipper are killed)
Steps to reproduce this (as I remember):
- Pair KDE Laptop to an android device
- Copy something from laptop (It should appear on my phone)
- Delete all clipboard, to be sure delete on both devices
- Reboot the laptop
- Reconnect both machine via kdeconnect
Current Result:
Klipper will have at least one clipboard history
Expected Result:
Klipper should be empty
I don’t know how to bug report if it is a bug, so I want to ask here if anyone know what happened.
