Klipper crashes Inkscape 1.4 with any copy/cut paste action

I didn’t use Inkscape for several weeks, but now it seems any copy/cut paste cashes the whole application, the terminal shows these messages:

CMSSystem::load_profiles: /usr/share/color/icc/colord/Crayons.icc is not an ICC file!
CMSSystem::load_profiles: /usr/share/color/icc/colord/x11-colors.icc is not an ICC file!

But if I disable Klipper from System Tray, everything works fine and no crash happens.

Inkscape 1.4 (e7c3feb100, 2024-10-09)
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2
Kernel Version: 6.6.82-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

Edit:
Tracked by Inkscape https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/5528

After Inkscape crashes, the xml code of the copied shape is added to Klipper widget and also exists inside ~/.local/share/klipper/data/.

But even if I click on it in Klipper widget, the paste action inside any application (like Kate) pastes nothing.

It seems something was changed inside Klipper.

The same crash happens with old Inkscape 1.3.2 Appimage, so it’s certainly a KDE bug introduced in Plasma 6.3.

Klipper is modifying or using some abnormal format for copied XML items.

Hmm, there are a couple of odd Clipboard-related issues that have come up recently that seem like they could possibly share some origin?

However, both of those are reproduced using text, not images or image components - this one might be a distinct bug?

My system has suddenly become very unstable, various apps have started to suddenly vanish – KMail, LibreOffice, Inkscape, …

Often it’s got something to do with clipboard operations, but not all the time. KMail for example chokes on saving attachments from emails. Not sure if this is the same, but I have a really hard time getting my work done…

Hmm, that almost sounds more like either an error in some fundamental system libraries, or even something hardware-driven (like memory errors)?

Have you been able to capture and share crash reports with the developers of the respective applications? The Community Wiki guide for creating crash reports in KDE applications is located here: Guidelines and HOWTOs/Debugging/How to create useful crash reports - KDE Community Wiki

May be related to BUG:Clipboard text is sometimes non-pasteable. After the crash, the XML content is always added to Klipper widget but cannot be pasted in any app even if I selected it multiple times in the widget.

I don’t know why it fails to correctly copy or cut a simple shape as SVG XML code.

Because I need to use Inkscape for many things, as a solution I disabled Klipper and installed CopyQ.
