KMail 6.7.1, search folder configured as per the image (global search for unread email):
This shows me all unread email in all subfolders in all accounts, as you’d expect.
It’s clearly dynamic because newly received emails appear in it over time, as you would expect, but read emails remain in the view indefinitely. They don’t clear by themselves after any period of time (idle or otherwise). They remain in the view even after Update Folder F5, switching away from then back to the search folder, shutting down KMail entirely and restarting it and so on, so it seems permanent.
- Is this intended behaviour, or should KMail be removing them after some delay or trigger?
- Is there some setting I could enable the search folder to re-sample its result-set (thus cleaning out the folder) after a period of time or manually, on command?
