Kmail - How to remove identities

How do you remove identities? I can’t remove them from the gui config as kmail and kontact just crash. So I’m looking for the config file. I already tried removing kmail2rc an other kmail files i could find in .config and the akonadi files in .local/share.
But when getting proton mail working(lots of failing). It made 13 more identities from my main one.

I hope in the future when adding accounts it asks to add to your main one rather then auto making a bunch of identities.

I’m not a gamer. The email is mission-critical and it needs to get stable and not crash. I have enough email addresses, aliases and virtual email aliases to be diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. But whatever email it is, it needs to work. I’m not a spammer, but this is where I’m liable to get banned off of a game forum somewhere on the internet and I’m suddenly unable to log in to my bank account as a result. Oh. Did I say I wasn’t a gamer? Oops. My money’s no good that banker’s town anymore.

EDIT: That’s a subtle C++ issue with object oriented data structures and crashing pointers somewhere. Long-time bug with kmail.
