I often use redirect emails that come to my inbox, but are actually for my wife, to her inbox. I just saw that redirect uses another outgoing account for directing instead of the one connected to my inbox. How do I change that?
In your settings for your e-Mail Identity, on the “Advanced” tab, which identity have you setup for the sending of e-Mails using that identity?
I already checked that, and they are all set to the right outgoing accounts.
Btw, I have two Google and one Office365 account, and the one that’s used is the office365 one… I can manually change it to the Google account I want, but it’s a bother to do it manually every time…
If I’m reading you correctly, you only want to use another e-Mail account only for the case of redirecting e-Mail traffic to a given recipient –

Ich bekomme Emails in meinem Google Konto, will diese umleiten zu meiner Frau, aber kmail will sie über mein Office Konto umleiten. Ich will aber mein Google Konto verwenden. Zur Zeit muss ich das ständig händisch einstellen, obwohl in meinen Identities und den Kontoeinstellungen alles richtig eingestellt ist.
So, doch ein KMail Filter einstellen – war selber überraschst dass, ein Filter kann, bei Senden, die Identität und der Versandweg überschrieben …
Prinzipiell ja, aber es sind nur einzelne Emails die ich umleiten will - im Normalfall händisch. Nur wenn ich “e” drücke (Kurzbefehl für umleiten), steht im Popup immer das andere Konto als Umleitkonto.
Evtl. ist es sowieso egal, weil beim Umleiten ja der originale Sender erhalten bleibt, und wenn meine Frau auf das Email antwortet, direkt dem Originalsender antwortet (oder zumindestens sollte)…
Ja – jetzt sehe ich was sie meinen – es wird vorrangig nur das „Standard” Identität vorgeschlagen.

I have raised the KDE Bug Report <491893> “Message Redirect (special case of Forward) always uses the default identity” to report this issue.

The Folder Properties persistently indicate the default Identity as being the Sender Identity - despite the Identity specified by the Account Settings being correctly set.
There seems to be an inconsistency between the Identity set in the (IMAP) “Account Settings” and the Identity set in the “Folder Properties” …
