When using multiple email accounts in KMail, it’s easy to accidentally send a message from the wrong address.
Right now, choosing the sender isn’t very intuitive:

You have to manually edit the “From” address, or

First select the inbox of the account you want, then click New Message
This becomes even more confusing when clicking a mailto: link in a browser, as KMail always uses the default address that you manually have to change before sending.
What would be great:
A simple sender drop-down menu in the message composer, allowing users to choose which email address they’re sending from — similar to how it works in GNOME’s Evolution.
Why this matters:

Makes multi-account use much more comfortable

Prevents sending emails from the wrong address

Improves the experience when using
mailto:links
A small UI addition, but a big usability win
