KMail still not displaying correctly the emails

I am still with the same problem reported almost 3 years ago in this post:

Now I’m using a fully-updated Fedora Linux 44 with KDE 6.7.2 and KMail 6.7.3.

I am using $HOME/.local/share/local-mail to store the Local Folders and a mirroring app to keep the same e-mail archives in a total of 3 different workstations/laptops (so far). In 2 boxes the configuration and email archives are mirrored correctly, but in the newest installation I can see no message newer than 2024.

I used PIM Data Exporter to export the config files from a working installation to the problematic one, but to no avail.
An AI hinted that the files could be stored also in ~/.local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource_0/, but although the directory exists, it does not store any files, just the standard empty folders.

Is it possible that the problem lies with Akonadi configuration? I’m out of my depth here and I find it somewhat disappointing that it’s already been almost 3 years since I reported this problem and nobody from the community gave me the slightest hint.

‘local-mail’ has been buggy for quite some time now; I don’t think many people still use a POP3 + Maildir combination to manage their emails.

As for me, KMail crashes if I create a subfolder and try to move it using drag-and-drop (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=516801).

Now I’m using IMAP to access mail servers, but I still like to save the important messages locally.

I don’t understand why my configuration works for some boxes but the very same configuration does not work for another. There are lots of config files involved and it’s not easy to find the relevant one(s).
