KMyMoney 5.1.3 "file not parsable"

Running KMyMoney 5.1.3 under Cinnamon Linux Mint 22.3 Zena with Ubuntu 24.04 noble

Just encountered the “dreaded” parse error with error message

“File was not parsable! ./kmymoney/plugins/xml/mymoneystoragexml.cpp:1411”

I’ve got back through the last few days backups but am getting the same error on each ( sometimes even after the initial opening seems ok)

Please see output of zcat operation below, what are the suggested next steps please?

zcat KMM_5_13_March14th2026.kmy > KMM_parse.xml

gzip: KMM_5_13_March14th2026.kmy: unexpected end of file

Hi, I think i may have found the problem…. I keep my KMM files in a VeraCrypt vault and this had become full over time. I have performed some housekeeping to free up space and, fingers crossed, things seem ok.
