Before opening a new bug/feature request, is it possible to confirm that the payment methods (cash, bank card, checks, etc.) are not manageable in Kmymoney ?
I cannot find a “means of payment” field in the transaction entry form…

Unless I need more coffee, I am not aware of anywhere in the program where you specify the means of payment at all. The type of account (checking, credit card, or other) might imply the default payment type for that account, but that’s about it. Can you specify more here about where you would like to see this used? As a temporary work-around, you can always include this information in the memo field.

yes that’s what I thought. Ideally, a new “means of payment” field should be created in the new transaction entry form and therefore in the general ledger.

The Homebank application offers a particularly interesting approach because in the preferences it also allows you to personalize the possible choices by deactivating unused means of payment and to organize their order: put at the top of the list the means of payment that you we use the most :
