KMyMoney missing aqbanking accounts after restart

Hello,

I am completely new to KMM and have successfully startet to configure KMM and aqbanking and download my bank transactions.
But after every restart of KMM the online bank connection is lost and I always have to newly set up aqbanking configuration, again.

In ~/.aqbanking/settings6/accounts/ and ~/.aqbanking/settings6/accountspecs/ there seem to exist all accounts in files:

  • 00000002.conf
  • ..
  • 0000000f.conf

00000001.conf is not existing. Nevertheless, no online account is recognized within KMM.

My configuration:

  • Linux Mint 22
  • KMyMoney 5.2.1
  • Aqbanking 6.6.3

Can anyone explain me what I am doing wrong?

Which version of KMyMoney are you using? Do you use an executable installed on your system, an AppImage or Flatpak version? What are the steps you use to setup the accounts?

KMyMoney 5.2.1, Flatpak version.

Alternatively, I could use KMyMoney 5.1.3 system version. Should I move to this one?

Flatpak introduces additional potential issues (access rights to files) which you can avoid if you download the latest stable AppImage file here:

  • AppImage packages are provided as an alternative for those who want to use a version newer than the one available in their Software Center.

Currently, this is this file: [kmymoney-5.2-4851-linux-gcc-x86_64.AppImage] 2025-10-05 16:06 150Mb

I suggest you this because i use KMyMoney installed via AppImage file (on Debian bookworm) and run the aqbanking plugin without any issues.

GREAT!!

AppImage package works - thanks a lot for your help!

The flatpak is now built with permission to access the user’s home directory, so this should not be an issue with the flatpak version of KMyMoney anymore.
