[Konsole] Arrow up keys spawns command bar

Hello,

Since a few weeks ago, after an update (I think), whenever I press the arrow-up key in Konsole (bash), it spawns a “Command Bar” with 2 options “Clear history” and “SSH: Entries [foo]”. I looked everywhere for a way to turn this off but I cannot find any.

It is bound to my arrow-up key, which means I cannot go up in my history, but I can use PgUp to jump up in my history and use the arrow-down key to iterate down the history.

I cannot even find the existence of this command bar anywhere online, so I don’t really have an idea where this is coming from. It only appears in Konsole so I assume this is a Konsole feature?

When I run “sudo konsole” and have the konsole open as sudo, I can use my arrow-up key just fine.

Is there any way I can turn this off?

I would love some input here, thank you all!

That looks like the command bar that is by default activated by Ctrl+Alt+I. The shortcut to open it can be changed on Settings → Configure Keyboard Shortcuts … → Find Action …

Hey!

That’s indeed that command bar, but somehow it’s bound to my arrow up key, when I don’t see it bound to my arrow up key at all. Ctrl + Alt + I Brings up the same command bar, but with way more options. Changing the keybindings of all “Find” actions to be custom None, also doesn’t seem to change anything.

The only option aside from “clear history” that shows up is the one SSH entry I have in the SSH manager. When I deleted that one, now when I press arrow up it says “No saved SSH configuration found”. So the arrow up key is doing something with ssh.
