Beside the ancient save/restore tabs that was never fixed the recent version of konsole seems to have another Tab problem.
I am on Fedora 43 - KDE Plasma 6.6.3 - konsole 25.12.3
Before, to detach a tab you could grab the tab and drag it up or down now you have to use the menu or drag it all the way right or left, not a problem, but I couldn’t find a way to reattach the tab to the original window, is it possible?

I tried quite literally everything and yeah no its just impossible, i find this sooo dumb since its basically the all in one terminal where i do everything on a daily basis yet i still end up like a caveman with give thousands different konsole windows because i can’t merge them into one clean instance
Indeed, I don’t believe reattaching a tab is currently possible. But it’s an excellent feature request, so definitely go ahead and make it on the bug tracker: https://bugs.kde.org/
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s much harder to combine separate instances of Konsole, than it is to spawn a new instance from an existing one, however.
As for not being able to detach tabs by dragging up or down, are you sure about that? As far as I can tell, you can detach by dragging in any direction. What determines whether you’ve dragged far enough seems to be whether or not you’ve crossed the boundary of the Konsole window - meaning that, if your tabs are located at the top of the window, then you can detach them with just a short upwards motion, whereas you will have to move your cursor much further if you instead drag downwards; and vice versa, if your tabs are located in the bottom of your Konsole window.
