Kontact Kmail duplicated account

Hi,
I am using kmail on fedora 41. I am using my private gmail account. For some reasson I have a duplicated gmail account connected to kmail. If I go to “Configure”–>“Accounts” I should be able to remove the duplicated account. But when trying so, kmail crashes. Anyone that know how to solve this?

@Mehus:

When KMail crashes, DrKonqi should pop up with the choice to report the crash and help with the installation of some extra Packages which are needed to aid the analysis of the Crash Dump.

  • Do not close DrKonqi at this stage of the Crash Dump submission.

You’ll also have to setup an account with the KDE Bug Report system – <KDE Bugtracking System>.

Once you’ve completed these tasks, you can then submit the Crash via DrKonqi with your newly created KDE Bugtracking account.

Thank you. I will set up an account.

You could additionally try this:

  1. Install “akonadiconsole” (often a separate package since it is a developer tool)
  2. Start KMail as usual (this will start the background processes that handle email accounts)
  3. Stop KMail again (the background services should keep running)
  4. Start Akonadi Console
  5. On its “Agents” tab (first tab) look for your account
  6. Select and click the “Remove” button at the bottom
  7. Start KMail again and check if the account is gone
