Kscreenlocker_greet high CPU use

Thank you , I added some debug packages, and created a new report which I added to 484606 – High CPU usage on kwin_x11/Xorg when screen is off

Has there been any update on this? I think I’m experiencing the same thing. When sitting at the lock screen, my fans crank up, but the second I log in everything calms down.

I see this too, but with a freeze for 30+ seconds before the lock screen becomes responsive after moving the mouse/typing. Looking at top via ssh shows kscreenlocker_g and Xorg with high CPU. It feels like it’s been happening for years on kubuntu (22 and 24). My fedora40 machine just started doing it too. Only thing I can remember I did recently is upgrading the nvidia driver.
