Laptop won't restart or shutdown after hibernation/sleep (closing the lid for x length of time)

I’m running Debian 12 with KDE Plasma 5.27 | Latest updates.

The only solution that seems to work is adding: reboot=bios to the

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=“quiet splash” (inside the quotations).
