I installed kde with a bootable USB I create downloading the last user edition of KDE NEON in kde.org, there the firefox icon appeared correctly on the task toolbar. I updated to last version of kde neon, and now it appears a white sheet icon to access to firefox. I tried to search on google how to uninstall firefox in NEON 6.3, no results searching. It’s a complement of the installer of KDE NEON, and no idea how to uninstall it and install it again. Any of you with these problems?
Why uninstall it? That usually doesn’t fix things.
But if you want to, it is is easily done from Discover or the command line.
The easier fix I think is to simply remove the icon from the task manager – right-click and un-pin it while FF is closed.
Then re-add it by opening firefox from the application menu, and if the icon is correct, then right-click and pin that.
Hi.
first of all thanks for your explanation. I have done something simillar. I unpin the blank icon and pin it again using the icon available when firefox is open to the task manager. I had to unpin it too from the launcher. About uninstalling firefox, is impossible. I tried but it doesn’t work from Discover. I haven´t done it using the command line.
Now everything is fixed.
Thank you
