i currently use mx-linux with kde… what i find missing is that libre office and gimp which i use some for work and some for fun don’t see dolphin bookmarks i have another disk in machine and its awkward not to be able to use bookmarks set in dolphin it would be realy nice if gnome and kde could step in brainstorming to unify bookmarks which work great in kate. another thing i wish it would be integrated is system calendar to work with cloud accounts without searching for right applet …i realy appreciate all the possible things i can set up with kde… now only to be able to work… and who thought up to set open button up in right corner in dialog… that is so awkward to find and to get use to

To make sure I’m understanding, is the key thing you’re looking for to be able to quickly find a location that you’ve saved in Dolphin, inside another application that doesn’t use “KDE-style” file-open dialogs?
