minimalist KDE neon

exists a iso or a minimalist (sacrificie visual aspect to perfomance) to use KDE neon in a SD card?, my SSD lexar is dead and fallback to use a SD card of 16gb (cant use windows) to keep using installed for my proyects.

-tooks 20 minutes to boot at login screen

-10 to enter in the desktop to full load

-5 minutes for apt update

-sometimes freezes but returns

neon is minimal. Maybe a barebone Arch install might be lighter, but probably not enough. You might be able to go and turn off desktop effects and animations, and turn off file indexing, but you will still have a terribly slow system. You might be able to log in to x11 session and use alt-shift-f12 to disable to compositor as well,

But it is the sdcard that is the problem. They are extremely slow for use as an OS drive.

Running off an SDcard is far slower than an old spinning hard disk for OS use.

Do you have a USB-3 flash drive? It would work a lot better. Even a USB2 is better than an sdcard. They are not only slow, they are fairly fragile for use as an OS drive. They can fail after a short time under heavy read/write that a desktop OS will use. I speak from experience, using the more expensive ‘fast’ cards.

But to be honest, you want a much lighter distro and desktop. If you can only use an sdcard, you might try Lubuntu and LxQt. And it will very likely still be painfully slow and choppy as heck.

sadly im a limit, i havent flash USB because one gives me to use, 1 USB port dont work, keyboard broken and touchpad broken too, if i connect my flash usb, i cant use mouse USB or keyboard USB
