# Modern, Stable APIs for Your Nextcloud Application

Nextcloud provides a large public PHP interface to developers to use for building their application. It is commonly called `OCP`. Some of big components of `OCP` are the HTTP stack with [`IRequest`](https://github.com/nextcloud/server/blob/master/lib/public/IRequest.php), [`Response`](https://github.com/nextcloud/server/blob/master/lib/public/AppFramework/Http/Response.php) and [`Controller`](https://github.com/nextcloud/server/blob/master/lib/public/AppFramework/Controller.php)to handle requests, the [`IQueryBuilder`](https://github.com/nextcloud/server/blob/master/lib/public/DB/QueryBuilder/IQueryBuilder.php)/[`IDBConnection`](https://github.com/nextcloud/server/blob/master/lib/public/IDBConnection.php) to query the database and many feature oriented components and utilities.
