I’ve been using linux mint(MATE) for a while now without much issues and decided to install cachyos(with KDE Plasma).
However after i installed it, i was having insane stuttering issues (most noticeable when dragging a window around or scrolling in a browser) but it was only on my main monitor (connected with 4050), when i drag the windows to my other screens with igpu they are smooth. I had also made sure that all the monitors have the same refresh rate. I searched online and decided to downgrade my drivers by installing nvidia-580xx-dkms and utils/settings. however that resulted in my computer freezing everytime i booted into the lock screen and entered the pin code. I had no other choice but to reinstall it.
The reason i believe this is a KDE issue (or probably wayland) is because i then tried to install nobara also with KDE Plasma and had the exact same issues, and trying to install proprietary drivers caused the freezing again
Currently I’m back in cachyos but using the x11 version instead (now only some animations feel clunky and it lags for a good second when i drag a window to another monitor, but not as bad as how it was before). I want to know how i can fix this because i have heard nvidia has fixed their initial issues with wayland and also when i was using it everything was very smooth in my igpus but i want that on my main gpu.
