Mouse Extra Buttons apply to all Mice

I use KDE Plasma on CachyOS and I have a rather specific problem which I found no discussions about for 5 whole minutes of searching. #due diligence

For different workflows I use two different Logitech gaming mice…

I’d rather have it not do that and have saved profiles for each mouse.

Since I think it is an oversight (and/or costly development time which i am not contributing towards) I figured I’d ask here.
Anyone know a workaround without going balls-deep into e.G. Solaar customization?

do activities keep separate mouse settings? (probably not).

you could always switch users to work with each mouse/workflow (heavy handed).

or you could set up a script to swap out the rc file and restart the plasmashell every time you wanted to switch meese.

using one or two scripts to fast-track the settings-changes sounds plausible.

I’ll go down that rabbit-hole once i feel productive (my programming-knowledge just goes far enough to type in sudo pacman -Syu into the cmi every now and then).

@skyfishgoo I’ve marked your suggestion as the solution;
but from anyone visiting this in the future i would still love to hear:
-if others can replicate my problem.
-if there ever is talk about a KDE_Plasma-native fix to this quagmire.
Loving almost everything else about this DesktopEnvironment. Thanks.
