Recently installed Kubuntu 26.04.
Have installed ibus and using Virtual Keyboard ‘IBus Wayland’.
Have set Compose key (Left Ctl).
Compose key works for composition of keyboard chars (eg. Ctl + ‘=’ + ‘/’ gives ‘≠’) but not for entering Unicode code points with Ctl-Shift-U followed by code point (eg. <2> <2> <6> <0>)
Have same problem in all applications: kate, Konsole, LibreOffice, etc…
Copy-Paste from KCharSelect works fine but is too long winded to be practical, as are other workarounds. Worked fine on Kubuntu 24.04.
I have searched the KDE Bug List and found no bug report for this so I presume I’m missing something but don;t k now what. Any pointers much appreciated. ![]()
