Need help customizing plasma panel

Hi!

Can someone please help me to customize a plasma panel to look like latte dock?

So far I set an empty panel I created to the bottom-middle of the screen and added the dodge window option and 56px size and added the icons only widget and pinned my main apps.

BUT… I want:

  1. the panel not to shrink/get smaller as I open new apps, because more icons in the panel make the icons look less than 56px. I want them to be 56px regardless how many apps are open
  2. when the app is open, I want the background to be transparent…
  3. I would really like a dot/small circle(with theme’s color or custom color) instead of the horizontal line for the active/maximized apps, and the same circle with a gray color for opened, but minimized apps. basically the same as it is now, just a dot/circle instead of the horizontal line

The height of the icons on any panel is not going to shrink

the task manager widget will try to squeeze everything into the allocated space

the trick you are looking for is to give a Maximum allocated space that is bigger than the Minimum allocated space by dragging these arrows as shown

if the task manager expands past the Max position then it will still begin to shrink the icons, but you can set the max as wide as the screen.

for the rest of it, i would look at the 3rd party tool Panel Colorizer to see if it offers what you want.

OK, thanks. So the height is no longer the issue.

Panel colorizer has too many options and it’s very confusing what is what, I’m not even sure if it can do what I need.
@luisbocanegra can you please help me with any of these? is this achievable? if yes, how?
