Just about the subject line of this message. If I want to “Verify This Device,” NeoChat simply cancels silently. It’s so smooth that kwin animates the closing of the window.
However, before reporting such a minor bug, I would like to ask how to obtain more information about the possible bug. How to put NeoChat in debug mode, if that exists, and so on. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
One very simple way, if you have DrKonqi installed, is to use the pop-up that comes after the program crashes, to send an automated report.
While doing so, you can also tick the option to automatically download debugging symbols before sending the report.
The other way is to use the ‘view developer information’ option and use the guidelines as linked by @Duha to make a proper bug report using your login on bugs.kde.org, which will also be numbered. This will be similar to making the backtrace yourself, then copying it and manually making a bug report on bugs.kde.org
