My desktop on updating to 6.7 would loop on logon screen when wayland selected. Each attempt would generate ~200 crash dumps with a “no Qt platform plugin could be initialized” type of error log. Made sure there were no broken or failed updates (NB. Discovery has issues Bug 500513). Searched internet and tried a few things with no impact. KDE runs OK under X with some minor issues such desktop and panels disappearing occasionally (Window button to the rescue).
Next I downloaded latest ISO and created a clean install alongside my original. There was a bug with the ISO as I could only install it using safe mode. Rebooted and logged in - safe mode was still active. Discover indicated 74 updates but the update window was stuck. Ran “sudo pkcon update” and replied “Y” to install updates. Discover now indicated as up to date.

Graphics Processor: llvmpipe (still in safe mode).
The Graphics Processor should be NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti but when safe mode is turned off the new install fails on reboot and does not display logon screen.
This does not seem to be a widespread issue so probably only impacts some Nvidia GPUs. I tried Fedora 6.7 KDE on my PC and it also fails.
Has anyone had and resolved this issue which affects existing and new 6.7 installs?
