No screen turn off after upgrade to 6.7

Before upgrading to Plasma 6.7 the screen would turn off when the session was locked.

Just after upgrading it did not work so I changed the settings and it started working. But after a reboot it reverted to not working and now I can’t make it work.

I created another user and it also does not work for the new user.

Any hints?

The workaround I found was to create a keyboard shortcut to “Turn Off Screen”

I’m having the exact same issue. I even tried changing the settings to Sleep after inactivity and that doesn’t work either. Seems no power management settings are working anymore.

BTW, thanks for the tip on the keyboard shortcut. I’ll use that until they fix this.

I’m seeing the screen dim and screen turn off at the times I set.
I’m on a Fedora 44 x86 system with Intel iGPU.

Maybe this is hardware specific?

Have a look in the logs to see if there are clues.
Check both user journal and system journal.
Do you see anything interesting?

Turning brightness with DDC/CI off fixes it for me

One of the updates that I ran after submitting to this thread fixed the issue.
