Hello! I started getting back into using virtual desktops more heavily, and I noticed that there seems to be different ways of naming desktops depending on how you create them. For example:
- The pager widget always creates new desktops named “New Desktop”
- Overview will create a numbered desktop, that number being dependent on how many desktops there are
- And the virtual desktops settings page will also create a number desktop, but that number instead depends on how many desktops already follow the numbering scheme
I don’t think changing this is particularly important, I rarely ever refer to my virtual desktops by number/name in my head, but I think for the sake of consistency it would be nice to have these all follow one behavior. I’m personally partial to the way the Overview handles it but that’s just my opinion.
