My setup is pretty normal I would think.
I have 2 monitors, and I have a panel on the bottom of both monitors.
On my left ( secondary ) screen, I have the
Application launcher - Icon only task manager - Virtual desktops - Digital clock.
On my right ( primary ) display I have almost the same layout
Application launcher - Icon only task manager - System Tray - Digital Clock
So when I get a notification it shows correctly over the system tray area.
My issue is that often my mouse cursor is not on that display when I get the notification and when I move my mouse cursor across a screen boundary the notification is dismissed.
I don’t want to have the notifications be persistent, I want them to go away like normal, but I don’t want them to be dismissed when I cross a screen boundary.
This behavior makes them nearly useless if you have to interact with it, because you cannot actually click on it. You have to open whatever item made the notification and do the action that way.
The only time it actually works correctly is if my cursor happens to be on the screen where the notification displayed already.
Is there some setting somewhere that I can change to make notification not be dismissed when crossing a screen boundary?
I hope I have explained myself clearly enough. Thanks for any help or tips!
