Since updating to 1.35.1 (and then to 1.35.3) of the KDE Connect Android app, notifications from my phone no longer appear on my PC (running KDE Plasma 6.5 and then 6.6).
The devices correctly connect to each other, and plugins other than Sync Notifications work fine. I can send files, use remote input and so on. It’s only the notification sync that seems to fail.
I saw this bug: “Notification sync completely dies after rebooting device, the only way to get it working is reinstalling the app every time I shut down the phone.”. However, reinstalling doesn’t fix it for me.
The Android app has permissions to access notifications, and the logs confirm that:
02-19 12:54:27.541 18224 18264 D KDE/addPlugin: Permissions OK NotificationsPlugin
02-19 12:54:27.541 18224 18264 D KDE/addPlugin: Optional Permissions OK NotificationsPlugin
There is nothing else in the logs related to notifications - i.e. nothing indicates that the Android app has even attempted to communicate to the PC when a relevant notification is active.
Before I raise a bug ticket, has anyone seen similar or found a workaround?
