I think this didn’t happen some time ago, am I losing my mind or is this a fairly new behaviour?
The thing is, when I go out of full screen, a pop-up on a corner shows the notifications that didn’t show up while in no disturb mode (that’s what I want and that’s how it’s set up on Settings), but those notifications don’t tell me what actually happened, they only say that I had a notification.
If I click the notifications widget on the task bar, I only see this, which doesn’t give me any useful info:
Did I get a message from a friend? Did my system avoid a catastrophic error? What happened while I was watching a video? I have no way to know.
Is there any way of getting those notifications in the corner show the actual text I get when I’m not in “do not disturb” mode?
I swear I’ve searched the forum and went through all the settings. I only found a bug that made notifications show up when nothing had actually happened, but it’s solved and I’m sure it’s not the case here.

My settings, when I click the gear icon next to the mysterious notification:
-
My settings on System Settings:
-
On System Settings / Notification / System Notifications, I’ve checked “Show a message in a pop-up” on all possible options
-
On System Settings / Notification / Application Settings / Vivaldi (which is the most likely source of notifications whenever this happens):
My system:
- Operating System: Arch Linux
- KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.3
- KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0
- Qt Version: 6.9.1
- Kernel Version: 6.15.6-arch1-1 (64-bit)
- Graphics Platform: Wayland
What am I missing? Can anyone please help?
I don’t know if can help you, but my settings are these:

Thanks, I’ve tried your settings just in case, but they didn’t solve the issue
(BTW, nice to see another Spanish speaker here)

the only thing that comes to my mind is that in both system settings and the browser you are forcing it to show a pop up while in do not disturb mode.
maybe i’m not understanding what that is supposed to do, but why would you want a pop up to show while you were in do not disturb mode… isn’t that the point? no disturbery?
maybe when you force this situation the code just gives you the generic message instead of the actual message… you know, so as not do disturb you.
i would uncheck both of those boxes and move on.
I think I’m doing the opposite of what you’re saying: nothing shows up when I’m in do not disturb mode, which of course is what I want.
And the same thing happens when I use the default settings, which aren’t that much different to my current settings, so I don’t see how I’m forcing anything
if not pop up, why pop up shaped?
this leads me to wonder what that checkbox it supposed to be doing then.
seems contradictory to have that box checked if you don’t want to see a pop up while you were in do not disturb mode.
maybe i’m completely lost here.
I might be the one who is lost
but I think those settings mean: show me a popup notification when anything happens, EXCEPT if I’m in do not disturb mode.
I’m using the default config now, take a look, only critical notifications show on do no disturb mode, it’s pretty much the same as my previous settings:
And the browser’s settings were the default ones all along.
