Okular - Feature request: Add a tooltip for highlighting, underlining and strikethrough when selecting text

Could you please consider adding:

  • A popup/tooltip for highlighting, underlining and strikethrough when selecting text.
  • The ability to select a word by double clicking.

This would make annotation while studying much faster. Thank you so much, I could never thank you enough.

We have doubleclick to select a word and tripleclick to select a line; if you are in text selection mode.

Thank you again for your prompt reply. I’m on Kubuntu 26.04. I have okular 26.04.3 installed as a flatpak.

Indeed doubleclick to select a word works and tripleclick to select a line works in Okular 26.08. But, doubleclick to highlight, underline or strikethrough a word doesn’t work for me.
