Option to Permanently disable specific Software updates, displaying a page for Clipboard in Settings

I would like to suggest some Features for a potential future update!

One of those being (as the title says) to add a function to permanently disable specific non-critical Software updates.

Another being to add more functionality and customizability to the Clipboard:

  • adding it as a page in the settings app, adding a function to permanently display the clipboard in the tray without having it to be open
  • adding a function to disable middle-mouse paste on X11 in settings, if possible
  • Displaying entries selected via middle-mouse paste in the clipboard

I would really appreciate if you could please continue support for Plasma X11 in future updates, as for some users (especially those with older hardware) Wayland might not work as expected.

Please correct me if you have any info about a feature listed here that has already been implemented in one way or another.

Thanks for taking time!

This is part of the systray settings - you can adjust the visibility for any item.

If I understand correctly, you want to see the items that have been highlighted (‘selected’ and thus temporarily available for middle-mouse-click or dragging), but not explicitly copied, to be available in Klipper?

If I am reading this correctly, this can be achieved in Klipper’s settings - Keep the Selection and the Clipboard the same.

This is something that would need to be implemented by the distro’s packaging system first. You would want to use that system’s native package manager GUI tools for that, as this is likely out of Plasma Discover’s scope.
