Performing a batch of Image Similarity search to retrieve original images of Facebook albums

I have downloaded some Facebook album that my wife posted. I now want to retrieve the original photo that is on my digikam database (100,000 images). The purpose is to recreate those albums in Digikam.

Currently I import the facebook album on digikam, then I select the photo and perform an Image Similarity Search to retrieve the original. The issue is that the similarity search can only be done manually image by image and therefore the process would be extremely long. Is there a way to automate it in digikam?

  1. It is not possible to select multiple images and slide them to the similarity search menu.
  2. I looked at the batch queue manager in digikam, but the similarity search feature is not available. Is there a user script available I could use?I believe other people must have had similar issue.
