Persist Task Switcher after releasing keybind

Windows has a feature where we can press Alt + ctrl + tab and the Alt + tab menu stays on the screen after releasing the shortcut keys. This then allows the user to use their mouse or keys to select a window.

Currently the closest I am able to do in KDE Plasma Task Switcher is to press Alt + tab and keep holding the Alt button.

On windows I bound Alt + ctrl + tab to a mouse button and then it became very convenient to switch windows whenever I am usng the mouse, hence I wish to know if there is some way to replicate this behavior.

Have you tried the Overview effect (META+W) ? That could work for you.

The advantage with the Task switcher view is that it sorts windows in Recently Used order, that works well with muscle memory. I checked the Overview effect and it doesn’t seem to do that. I can of course try and learn to use this however it would be nice if the applications were sorted.
