Plasma 5 Panel resize controls - disable the help text which appears on mouse-over

When I want to resize the Plasma 5 Panel, by mouse contact on the sliders which set the maximum and minimum widths and, the slider which positions the Panel on the screen, a help text appears which doesn’t disappear by simply waiting – move the mouse away and then reposition over the slider and quickly left-click before the help text appears works only about 60 % of the time.

  • I prefer to have the Panel positioned at the top of the screen and, the “Floating” option is enabled …

  • Disabling “Workspace Behaviour” → “General Behaviour” → “Visual behaviour” → “Display informational tooltips on mouse hover” doesn’t resolve the issue …

Any ideas?

  • Sorry – I couldn’t persuade Spectacle to include the informational tooltips …
