Plasma 6.1 dimming monitors and not restoring one

Hi! I just switched to Arch and am using Plasma 6.1. I’m having an issue where the screens dim when left idle for a few minutes. My main monitor (Samsung) restores the brightness just fine, but my right monitor (generic) stays at a low brightness, and I have to manually restore it using the onboard controls.

The part that makes this weird is that the generic monitor doesn’t even have options to change brightness in Plasma.

I don’t know if it matters, but I am using an AMD GPU (6750XT) with drivers installed and functioning.

I can also change the brightness from Plasma on the Samsung monitor.

Plasma currently one offers UI software controls for your main monitor’s brightness, and the configuration to dim monitors on idle is global and not monitor specific, but it should undim back.

The most likely cause for this misbehavior is hardware failure, but it’s ready to test - if you can install the gddccontrol application. That application should allow you to control individual screen’s brightness - if you can use it to both lower your generic monitors brightness and raise it, then that would be a good indicator that Plasma has a problem.
