So I recently upgraded Plasma 6.4.2-1 → 6.5.3-2 on my endeavour os system. I run a two monitor setup (monitor 1: 1440p, Monitor 2: 1080p) which obviously have different DPI. Now before the upgrade, my setup behaved exactly how I wanted it to, with apps scaling correctly and everything looking the same size on both monitors.
But after the update, this doesn’t seem to work anymore. When both monitors have scale set to 100%, UI elements on the 1080p screen are huge. When I set the scale to 75% on the 1080p, then UI elements look the same size on both monitors but everything looks blurry (no matter what I set for Legacy Application scaling option) and some apps (like chromium) behave very weird, have graphical glitches and “full screen” isn’t actually full screen but a very crippled window in the top left corner with the mouse being off for this window (like it doesn’t actually register the mouse at the location it is but somewhere else). I experience the DPI scaling issues on Wayland and X11, except obviously the 75% scaling thing since X11 doesn’t support independent screen scaling.
I am pretty sure that before this plasma upgrade it worked as it does under my windows 11 installation, with apps being DPI scaled correctly and look the same size on both screens without being blurry.
I’m using an nvidia gpu. I know these can cause issues, especially on wayland, but can it actually introduce such issues just for upgrading plasma from 6.4.x to 6.5.x?
