Plasma 6.6 wifi KCM password limitations

Hi, what’s the story with plasma 6.6 beta1 having password requirements to connect to a wifi network?

I have a testing network with a 4 letter password, and the KCM won’t let me connect to it*? The password constraints aren’t under the control of the user in this case…
AFAIK the wifi spec doesn’t have any minimum password requirements, and even if it did, that should IMO be enforced in the AP config UI, not on the client.

  • I can edit it later in the “Wi-Fi Security” tab. So a 2 step connecting flow kind of works.

edit: the system tray applet has no such limitation either.
