I figure this is a bug, but if anyone has experienced this before and knows a solution, I would appreciate it.
When I click the Restart or Shutdown buttons from the Application Launcher, nothing seems to happen. I don’t get the confirmation pop-up. As well, the logout button also doesn’t work, but interestingly Lock does work.
Nothing is documented in journalctl, so I am unsure how exactly to even begin to diagnose this issue.
Does this by any chance happen within the first 50 seconds after logging in, while you’ve got the splash screen disabled?
It happens at all times, I do have a splash screen enabled, not a default system but one from a downloaded global theme, not sure if that part matters for it being custom is it has something to do with it not working.
Thanks. Can you run journalctl -f in a terminal window and see if anything is printed there when you click on one of the buttons but nothing visibly happens?
I did run journalctl, and nothing does appear in the terminal when I click on any of the affected buttons.
