I’ve tried installing Kubuntu 25.10 and also Fedora KDE 43, and in both systems in the several times I’ve tried I can login but after about 10 seconds or so the screen will start flashing black and looking distorted 5 or 6 times and then just crashes or reverts back to the login screen. Is this a driver issue that can be solved with a different driver? I’m using an older gpu, an Nvidia 1080. Everything works fine in whatever version of Plasma is used in Kubuntu 25.04.

I don’t have problems with GTX 1070 and propietary drivers 580.82.07 (I know there is newer versions of R580 but don’t have significant updates).
