Since the update to KDE 6 I have been experiencing regular freezes for about 10 seconds at a time with “Pageflip timed out” in the journal:

This has been happening mostly when doing GPU-heavy tasks.
After experimenting with the i915 driver parameters for my integrated Intel GPU, I found that disabling PSR (a power-saving feature) seems to stop the freezing. It’s been a few days now and there have been no freezes.
To disable PSR either create or edit
/etc/modprobe.d/i915.conf
and add the line
options i915 enable_psr=0
Then rebuild the initramfs and update grub. On Debian type distributions (Ubuntu, Neon etc):
sudo update-initramfs -u
sudo update-grub
Other distributions will have different methods of doing this.
