Plasma6 deskbar sizing issue causing xeyes malfunction?

My KDE & XFCE desktops are both evolving but each time KDE moves up a generation I end up with TONS of tweaking to repeat. Plasma6 is no exception.

This what my Ubuntu KDE looked like at level 5 (Sept 2023):

THIS is what the Tumbleweed desktop looks like at level 6 (was MUCH worse a week ago!):

When I try to edit the right side deskbars I see no adjustment handles

The inability to adjust height/length MAY be why I cannot set xeyes into their ‘slots’ between the deskbars. Xeyes is launched by a user script like so:

#!/bin/sh
if [ -n “$DISPLAY” ]
then
if [ “$XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP” = “” ]
then
desktop=$(echo “$XDG_DATA_DIRS” | sed ‘s/.(xfce|kde|gnome)./\1/’)
else
desktop=$XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
fi

 desktop=${desktop,,} # convert to lower case
 echo "$desktop"

else
echo nodesktop no exeyes
fi

if [ “$desktop” = “kde” ]
then
echo it is kde
xeyes -geometry 70x50+36+420 &
xeyes -geometry 70x50+1810+420 &
else
echo No kde, no xeyes
fi
exit
#done

Thanks for any pointers

PS. MY study is very bright and sunlit, I cannot do cumputing without xeyes AND mouse-trails, the latter having died years ago :frowning:
