Played around with settings i didn't understand. Dolphin/File Copy popup dialogue box.

First post!

I’ve spent about 20 minutes looking for the setting/s i need. I think it’s time to ask for help

New install of Kubuntu 26.04 (so Plasma 6.6.4). First time using Kubuntu but i am not new to Plasma, though i’ve never tried to customise it to my liking until now. I’ve just accepted whatever the distro in question put there.

I was mucking around with Dolphin and notifications because i wasn’t that keen on the default file copy dialogue box and i seem to have made it “worse” (to my tastes). How to reset this back to normal? (preferably without defaulting all of Dolphin, which i’ve changed up a fair bit).

Also, when i minimise that box, it goes to the app tray, not the notification area.

I messed up yesterday and overnight i forgot how i did this :person_facepalming:

What i was hoping for was for a more minimalist dialogue box that when minimised, goes into the notification tray. I seem to recall a nice circle with the number and a blue glow to indicate progress. No idea how to achieve it.

I was also looking for how i might make it just automatically appear in the notification area and not the dialogue box, which i don’t generally need to see and then have to manually minimise.

Hopefully someone more familiar knows what silliness i’ve performed.

Thanks.

p.s. this forum is 100 times easier on the eye than the Kubuntu forum, which i find quite difficult to read, i guess the font and colours and size.

By Jingo i found it!!

“Show in notifications”

And it even minimises to the tray automagically.

Lovely!
