Problems with Automatic Subtags in digiKam: Assistance Needed to Revert Settings

Hello everyone,

I have been using digiKam for a few weeks now, but I’ve encountered an issue. It seems that I’ve changed a setting, so the program now selects all subtags when I choose a main tag. This makes sorting my images quite cumbersome.

Could someone please help me locate this setting and revert it back to normal? Thanks in advance for your assistance!

At the top of the Tags tree in the right-hand panel right click on the word ‘Tags’.
At the bottom of the resulting list is Toggle Auto, I’m guessing that Children is selected. If that is the case change this to None.
FYI I always have ‘Parent’ selected so that all of the tree above the leaf is added to the metadata.
