I am generally satisfied with the customization in KDE, but one thing that really bothers me is how i need to import application styles as files into my config folder instead of being able to just get it from the KDE store. I wonder if there is any particular reason for it?
Not like i am THAT discontent with the default 3 KDE comes with most of the time, but i think it is however one of the most important things a user would want to customize, I’d also see it as a kind of way to help KDE and any other Desktop Environments’ design language to grow by just having these readily available because it would be a good way to figure out what users really want when it comes to how the UI looks.
Probably because they are binary (written in C++, not Javascript). You have to manually install other binary plugins like C++ kwin effects or wallpaper plugins.
I don’t know the rationale behind this. Maybe security concerns.
