Dolphin is already named ‘File Manager’ in it’s description - but your effort to provoke a reaction did amuse me.
This is right up there with renaming:
- Google → GoFynd
- iTunes → Utoonz
- Zoom - VidSeeU
I’m sorry, but this one really made me laugh… Dofilin sounds like a ridiculous forced pun - ‘Do Filin’ is not a natural or common phrase - it sounds like a typo for Dolphin.
Dolphin is a really strong animal associated with intelligence, speed, grace and friendliness which is a great metaphor for a tool.
Also ‘you will know where to do your filing’ is flawed logic, the name itself is not a command or instruction - it’s just odd.
Dolphin is established, unique and memorable, and fits the KDE Animal theme (like Konqi the dragon).
