This issue recently had it’s 24th birthday and since Wayland has become the default on most distros it seems high time to get this feature implemented, it’s a significant pain point in switching to Wayland.
How does KDE decide which features to prioritise, and is there anything that users can do to prompt a particular feature like this getting prioritised?
been using wayland for a few days and this part is the deal breaker for me.
one of the best features of the KDE desktop is that you can shut it down and if you have the setting turned on to restore the session, every thing reboots with all your windows where you left them
whenever i reboot wayland i get a blank desktop and have to reopen all the apps and windows myself, even with the setting turned on.
so i will be going back to X11 until this is completed or until another desktop does it better than KDE.
